GFA Council Not Consulted Over Vacancy Of General-Secretary Post

Investigations conducted by JoyOnline have established that most members of the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association were not privy to the document for the position of the FA General secretary before it was advertised in the national dailies. Some members told JOYonline that the FA management board headed by Ben Koufie had to submit the document to the Executive Council for approval before being published in the dailies.

Others also expressed their displeasure with the content of the advert disputing why Ben Koufie appended his signature to the advertisement instead of the Chairman of Executive Council, Alhaji Y.A. Ibrahim.

Further JoyOnline investigations have also revealed that some members of the FA management board were also not even consulted before the publication of the advert.

Executive council members who have the right to appoint a new general secretary to replace W.K. Agra could not tell the origin of the advert.

It is expected that details of the published advert would be discussed on Thursday when the Executive Council meets the management board.
