Frimpong Manso appointed Karela FC coach

Former BA United coach Frimpong Manso has returned to club management after signing for second-tier side Karela FC.

The ex-Ghana international defender has penned a two-year deal to aid the club’s promotion campaign.

“I arrived in Takoradi a few minutes ago and will take over the club. I signed a two-year contract,” Manso told Daily Graphic.

“I’ve a fair idea about the team and we will try to build a good team to finish well this season and seek qualification to the Premier League next season.

“For now I can only work with the players available because the registration window is closed. I can only consider some new players to beef up the team next season.”

Karela FC finished seventh in the 16-team table in Zone II of the GN Bank Division One League.

Manso was sacked by BA United five months ago after nine matches in the First Capital Plus Premier League despite guiding the Sunyani-based side to return to the top-flight.

He managed two wins; one draw and six defeats.
