Frimpong Lauds Black Queens

Ghana's U-23 international, Joetex Frimpong, who plays club football in Nigeria with reigning African Champions League winners, Enyimba Football Club of Aba, has commended Ghana's female National team, the Black Queens for their performance in last Saturday's Athens Olympic qualifier against Nigeria's Super Falcons.

Speaking in a telephone interview from his team's Ota camp, Frimpong said the Queens were enterprising against their Nigerian counterparts.

"The Queens played good football and deserve our praises. At least it shows that their victory over the Falcons in a group match at the last African Women Championship in Warri was no fluke," he said.

The Ghanaian forward charged the Queens to put in more effort so as to beat the Nigerians in the second leg and secure a ticket to the Athens Olympics.
