Friends Babies draw with Efutu Koforidua Citrus

Cape Coast June 14, GNA - A 66th minute goal scored by Ernest Mensah enabled Cape Coast Friends Babies football club to hold Efutu Koforidua Citrus football club to a 3-3 drawn game in a friendly soccer match played at Cape Coast sports stadium on Sunday.

Friends Babies from the blast of the whistle took command of the game and scored two rapid goals through midfielder Ebenezer Aikins and outside right Joseph Quagraine in the 25th and 28th minutes. Undaunted by this lead, Koforidua Citrus forced the tide in their favour and pulled a goal back through outside left, Michael Mensah, in the 30th minute.

They continued to pile pressure on their opponents and rightly levelled up the scores before the end of the first half through right- winger, Iliasu Abubakar.

The two teams resumed the second half strongly but Abubakar who played a yeoman's game was on hand to increase his side's tally to 3-2 in the 55th minute.

The game then became balanced until Ernest Musah exploited a defensive blunder to score the much - needed equaliser in the 66th minute to end the exciting encounter.
