Free scoring Gyan on target again

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan continued his fine goal scoring form by netting twice in the Arabian Gulf League game in a 2-1 win over Emirates Club on Thursday evening.

Gyan scored the first goal for his Al Ain's side 11 minutes into the second half before he perfectly converted a 67th minute spot kick to hand over all the three points at stake to the Bosses.

The former Sunderland record buying striker is in a scintillating form of his life as his brace on Thursday night takes his total goal tally in the UAE Pro League to 21 in 21 appearances - a goal on average in each game played.

Meanwhile, in the French Coupe de France, defender John Boye was an unused substitute when goals from Kamil Grosicki and Romain Alessandrini helped Stade Rennes to beat Lille 2-0 at the Route de Lorient Stadium.

In the Italian Serie A, Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu played the full throttle in Udinese's 0-0 stalemate against Inter Milan at the Estadio Guzeppe Miana-San Siro last night.
