Hearts board member Frank Nelson has attributed recent low attendance to the crippling economic situation in Ghana.

The Phobians have recorded low attendance in the post Kenichi Yatsuhashi era.

The current situation has been largely attributed to a protest by the supporters, who have been unhappy with that infamous decision.

But the club's board member Frank Nelson rather blames the poor economic conditions for the low turn-out.

“The low attendance is not as a results of the sacking of Kenichi, but it is due to the economic problem facing the country,” Nelson told Fox FM

“We have agreed to reduce the gate charges to allow the fans to come in their numbers to supports the boys to victory."
