Ghanaian international Frank Acheampong has been named in the EUROPA League team of the week.

The 22-year-old earned a spot in the top 11 after his heroics for Anderlecht in their 3-1 defeat to Shaktar Doneskti on Thursday.

The former Black Satellites wide-man grabbed his third goal of the competition after scoring a consolation for his side.

He was named in attack together with Brussia Dortmund’s and Gabonese star Pierre Emerick Aubameyung as well as Marco Rues.

Acheampong, despite scoring a goal was impressive on the day but failed to help his side avoid defeat away from home.

The Black Stars attacker has been one of the outstanding Ghanaian players in Europe this season.

He is arguably the best player for Anderlecht this season.

He could earn himself a place in Coach Avram Grant’s squad for the Black Stars Cup of Nations qualifier against Mozambique.
