Sudan-based winger Francis Coffie has praised Ghana coach Avram Grant for his plans to expand his scouting scope to the rest of the African continent.

The former Chelsea manager has promised to broaden his scouting net after being questioned by the Ghanaian media over his scouting scope.

And, this excites former Kotoko and AshantiGold winger who plays for Sudanese side Al Merreikh.

"I think he has done well by stating that he would be scouting players plying their trade on the African continent to join the Black Stars," he told Kumasi-based radio station Bohye FM.

In fact, I was very happy when I heard it because it’s always good to play for your national team. I think my family too will be happy if I’m called to play for the national team."

Grant has invited TP Mazembe winger Solomon Asante and Orlando Pirates star Edwin Gyimah to his squad since taking over as head coach.
