France: Charles Boateng sent off in third-tier league

Former Ghana U17 attacker Charles Boateng was sent off while he was in action for Avranches in the French third-tier league on Friday.

Boateng, 26, was booked twice in either halves and was sent off five minutes from full-time.

But his cost of numerical disadvantage to Avranches did not impact their course of victory in the game as they held on to the narrow lead provided by Victor Lekhal and won the tie 1-0.

Boateng has spent four seasons with Avranches chasing promotion to the French second-tier league but looks that dream is yet to materialize.
