Football people bid Sly Tetteh final farewell

The football community from the continent and here in Ghana today paid their last respects to conclude the final funeral rites of Alhaji Sly Tetteh, who passed away a month ago.

The former Liberty Professionals President died on September 2 after he was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital in Cape Coast where he had been rushed to after he collapsed during a morning football game.

The national Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Shaributu sat through the event and offered prayers for the departed Liberty Professionals President.

Ghana Football Association President, Kwesi Nyantakyi led delegation from the Confederation of African Football (Caf) to pay their respects at the Carl Reindorf Park, the home grounds of Liberty Professionals.

The Caf team included Gen. Seyi Memene, Seedy Kinte and Augustine Senghore whiles there were representations from the old players of Nigeria led by the Governor of Lagos, local football administrators, coaches and players.
