Finidi Cautions Mates On Ghana's Squad

As the Super Eagles leave for Accra today for Sunday's World Cup qualifier, Finidi George has warned of underrating the all-home based Black Stars.

"That makes it more dangerous playing an all home-based squad. We should be careful with the boys," George, one of the favourites of the Togolese fans, said.

The Real Majorca player said that the Eagles would have preferred their Europe-based Ghanaian counterparts.

"The game is better when you play with fellow professionals. They understand the game more than home-based who are desperate to prove that you are not better than they. It's really going to be a tough game. It does not matter if they are home-based. That makes them more dangerous," he said.

On the situation in camp, George expressed happiness with the turn-out and training in Togo. "It's a nice thing we came here. And it has been real work for us without any distraction. We're set for Sunday. We're in the mood to win and nothing will stop us.

Meanwhile, during yesterday's training, Bonfrere paid more attention on shooting accurately. Benedict Akwuegbu, Tijani Babangida and Sunday Oliseh stole the show as their shots could not be stopped by either Ike Shorumu or Peterside Idah.
