Fianoo to reflect on Ghana Football Asoociation scribe's job

Accra, July 21, GNA - Chief Executive Officer of Obuasi Ashgold FC, Kudjoe Fianoo would take a deep reflection to decide on whether he will continue to pursue his interest in the General Secretary post of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Fianoo was dumped out from the 24-member Executive Committee of the GFA when he competed alongside 10 others for retention into the Board in Wednesday's election.

He told GNA Sports after the elections that, I am going to reflect on the way forward after this loss. This will include my interest in the General Secretary position.'

Fianoo, seeking re-election to the Board, which is regarded as the cabinet of Ghana football, lost his bid after three rounds of elections which saw

Berekum Chelsea's bankroller, Emmanuel Kyeremeh pipping him by two votes. Describing his failed bid as disappointing for Ashgold, the former Black Stars Welfare Manager said his focus on his Club duties will grow more in his quest to propel the team forward.

"There is life after elections and I will continue to serve Ghana football well. There are so many roles I can play apart from serving on the Executive Committee."

"Similarly, I will also have more time to give my Club my fullest concentration and make sure we do better than last season when the Premier League begins.'

The former Administrative Manager for the Ghana League Clubs Association, (GHALCA) preached the message of continuity in his quest to retain his place on the Board but fell by the way side after three rounds of voting that had him tie twice.

His campaign style seems to have grown inferior to the massage of 91v= ote

for club owners' preached by some of his competitors. Officials of the Electoral Commission were compelled to initiate the

process of a run-off in search of the two winners to join the top four who

chalked first round victories after Randy Abbey, Fianoo, Kyeremeh and John

Fred Mensah tied on nine votes each With Abbey picking eight votes, one less than his first round accumulation, the Mighty Jets nominee led the park in the second round leaving Mensah who emerged as a surprise package in the contest with six votes, with Kyeremeh and Fianoo picking seven votes apiece to throw the process into another round.

After the final round of voting, Kyeremeh pipped Fianoo with nine votes, two more than the latter to make a maiden appearance on the Committee. Hearts of Oak's Chief Executive, Fred Crentsil, Liberty Professional's Felix Anson, Medeama's Moses Armah, Kotoko's Emmanuel Owusu-Ansah, Abbey and Chelsea's Kyeremeh are representatives of the Premier League Clubs on the Executive Committee.
