Fiamenyo turns attention to Confederation Cup progress

In-form Hearts of Oak striker has revealed the Phobians have turned their attention to progressing to the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup at the expense of Senegal Ligue 1 side Olympique de Ngor.

The Phobians, maiden winners of the competition, travel to Dakar next weekend for the second-leg tie.

Hearts go into the tie with a narrow lead from the first-leg after beating Ngor 2-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

And Fiamenyo who came off the bench to score the match-winner and also netted a brace against B/A United in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday has revealed Herbert Addo’s side have shifted their focus on beating Ngor in the second-leg.

“Now our attention is on Ngor because we know it is a difficult test for us. We have to score there at all cost and qualify for the second round,” the 22-year-old former Ghana U20 forward said.

Fiamenyo has scored nine of Hearts of Oak’s goals in all competitions this season and is the leading top-scorer in the Ghana Premier League with eight goals from 11 games.
