Fiamenyo: I will bang in the goals for Hearts

Newly signed
on Hearts of Oak striker Gilbert Fiamenyo is delighted to re-join the club he
once played for on loan, but the burly striker is wasting no time at all in
setting the goals he aims to pursue at the former Ghana and Africa champions.
Fiamenyo,
who completed the switch from Kpando Heart of Lions to Accra only last
Thursday, reveals the desire to lure back the support of Hearts of Oak fans and
most importantly get them back to fill the stadium during the team’s games.
“I can see
that the club is serious about getting better and are investing in signing good
players to strengthen the team, that’s the reason why I joined the club. It’s a
big opportunity which is certainly far bigger than Lions and I’m happy for
myself. I’ve been here before so it’s like an old hunting ground but definitely
it’s far bigger this time,” Fiamenyo has told 90 MINUTES of his estimated half
a billion old Ghana Cedis move.
He also
outlines his targets for Hearts of Oak: “It’s not going to be a small work and
it requires determination, dedication and hardwork. We have to win the league
because our supporters need it.
“The club
did not win anything last year so we must make them happy again. We have to win
for the fans to bring them back to the stadium to watch our matches. We really
need our supporters at the stadium and we are going to make sure we win for
them. A lot of hardwork we shall.”
