Fauzan Unhappy About Decision

The management of Fauzan FC has expressed disappointment at the decision of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee to dismiss their protest against Samartex after available evidence throughout proceedings had been in their favour.

What was worse, the management said, was that the Disciplinary Committee gave no grounds for the dismissal of the case but only told them that the details of the ruling would be communicated to the club later.

According to the Team Manager of Fauzan FC, Mr Abdul-Hayye Yartey, that unfortunate decision gave Dwarfs an unfair advantage to qualify for the ongoing Division One sub-middle league at the expense of Fauzan.

Mr Yartey said as per Article 33(A) of the GFA regulations, Samartex should have been declared guilty for fielding an unquaified player in the person of Joseph Yeboah in their last league match against them at Samreboi.

According to him, Samartex flouted the regulations by going for the player’s card from his colts club, All Yankees, instead of that of his last club, Rainbow Stars.

He explained that the player was first transferred from All Yankees to Rainbow Stars who later transferred him to Kwaebibibrem on their demotion from the premiership. He again transferred the player to Rainbow Stars which he last featured for before moving to Samartex.

He emphasised that as a result of that, Samartex should have negotiated with Rainbow Stars for the player as Article 33(A) requires for release letter and card “A” from a player’s last club before he can legally be registered.
