Faisal / Hearts friendly cancelled

The much-publicised friendly game between King Faisal and Accra Hearts of Oak, slated for the Kumasi Sports Stadium on Sunday, June 29th, has been cancelled.

The game was cancelled due to a similar assignment involving the Black Queens and the Ashanti Region branch of the Association of Sports Broadcasters at the same venue on Sunday.

Information gathered by the GNA Sports indicated that the cancellation was communicated to both teams on Tuesday and no new date has been fixed for the match.

The game would have been the two teams third meeting in the year. The first encounter saw the Alhaji Grusah boys stunning their opponents with a lone goal at the Accra Sports Stadium at the commencement of the league.

The league champions however avenged the defeat when the two met in the Kinphermah premier league in Kumasi in which they won by the same score line.
