FIFA to handover GOAL Project Four to Ghana

FIFA will handover the GOAL Project Four which is a six-classroom block to the Ghana Football Association on Monday.

Officials of the world governing body will arrive in the country this weekend to present the building to the GFA.

The building which is located in Prampram at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence will form a key part for the setting up of the national team academy.

The event will be held at Prampram at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence at 10 am.

Minister for Youth and Sports Honourable Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, officials of FIFA and Ghana FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi will address the event.

FIFA are also expected to announce future plans to help develop football infrastructure in Ghana with GOAL Project FIVE.

The Goal Programme allows each member association of FIFA to receive funding for football development projects that respond to the special needs of their national associations.

In making this contribution to the world of football FIFA has helped and continues to help build national association headquarters, training academies and artificial and grass pitches.

In doing so it has responded to the FIFA President Sepp Blatter’s primary objective of giving national associations with the least resources the infrastructures they need to carry out their work.
