FA invites candidates to train in soccer development

Koforidua, Sept. 13, GNA - The Eastern Regional Football Association (ERFA) has invited people who are interested in the development of soccer to register with its secretariat for a six days training course. The course forms part of a programme which is being pursued by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to lay the necessary structures for the development of football in the country.

Mr Solomon Yamoah, Secretary of the RFA said the course would be organized in Koforidua from October 9 to 14.

The course content includes basic course in first aid, physiotherapy and massage for medical personnel of clubs and basic course in football coaching. Mr Yamoah said as part of the course, the resource persons would engage the Regional football administration for the laying of structures towards the development of soccer in the region.

It forms part of national efforts to groom talented for the Under-12, Under-15, Under-17 and for the girls in categories of Under-13, Under-16 and Under-19.

Mr Yamoah said intermediate courses of refereeing and football administration would also be run for graduates at the basic level. He said all other courses will be free except those who would be participating in the basic course in football coaching who would pay a registration fee of 100,000 cedis. He asked clubs and institutions that are interested in sponsoring their personnel to the course to register at the secretariat of the RFA before the 25th of this month.
