Ex-Ghapoha skipper speaks out

Former Ghapoha Skipper, Richard Nii Noi has finally explained the reasons behind his lacklustre attitude towards training. He enumerated these as unfair treatment meted out to him by the club’s management and what he perceived to be a waste of his talent since his arrival at the phobian club early this season.

He indicated that he initially declined to join the Phobians for fears of being sidelined in view of the player glut in the team, and indicated that his irregular appearance in matches has affected him greatly. Although he agreed that Hearts was a bigger club than Ghapoha, he felt he could fit into the defensive set up of the club easily.

Ever since his arrival at the club, he has not been in the good books of fans and technical team due to his recalcitrant stand. He however agrees that his attitude, which some fans say is habitual and unfortunate, is having a negative impact on the entire playing body.

In another development, fans of the club have expressed misgivings about the attitude of certain key players like Awuley Quaye Jnr and Odartey Lawson for their consistent truancy, which led to their suspension. The management of the club has however asked the two key players, to resume training or be expelled from the club.
