Eugene Ansah warms bench as Lokeren thrash Mechelen

Ghanaian prospect Eugene Ansah was an unused substitute by a ruthless Lokeren side who demolished KV Mechelen 4-0 in the Belgian Pro League on Friday evening.

French-born Ghanaian defender Jerry Vandam was at the heart of defence for the visitors and lasted the entire duration of the game as they picked their seven defeat of the season.

Ansah, a Liberty Professionals Academy product, marked his debut last weekend during Lokeren’s loss at Club Brugge but could not have the opportunity to come off the bench as he watched their emphatic win over Mechelen from the bench.

While he was warming the bench, attacking midfielder Abdul Yakinu-Iddi was brought on with 15 minutes left for play but he could do little to help them avoid the defeat after coming off the bench.

Former Lille defender Jerry Vandam was part of a poorly organised defensive network that conceded the goals.
