Michael Essien believes that AC Milan will overcome their recent drop in form as they have the quality to succeed through hard work and maintain the right mindset.

The Rossoneri have won a solitary Serie A game since the turn of the year and the side have come under increased pressure from disgruntled fans.

Rossoneri midfielder Essien has admitted that it is a difficult time for the club but the players remain in good spirit.

“We are going through a difficult time, we have to stick together and try to change the situation,” Essien told Milan Channel.

“The mood in the dressing room is good and we are trying to do our best.

“These occasions occur in football, we must not let our heads drop, instead we keep going heads-on.

“We have the quality to get out of this crisis, we are working hard to improve.”
