Emmanuel Baffour open to big move

Glo Ghana Premier League leading goalscorer Emmanuel Baffour is ready to switch New Edubiase for the riches of champions Berekum Chelsea, Hearts of Oak or Asante Kotoko, he has exclusively revealed to ALL SPORTS.

Baffour has banged in nine goals after 10 games and is the talk of the 2011/12 Ghanaian top flight season.

His current club’s President also revealed earlier this week that Edubiase face a big struggle to keep the player because they have received several offers for the striker.

Top of the list of the potential suitors apparently include Chelsea, Hearts as well as Kotoko and Baffour himself indicates a keenness to make the switch once the right offer comes.

He told ALL SPORTS yesterday: “I’d made my mind to play for Edubiase because I’ve played the league here in Ghana for a long time and my focus is only to move to a club in Europe.

"It also depends on my agent but now if the right offer comes and it’s good for all of us involved, my club, my agent, myself and the club I’m going to, then I’m ready.

"Football is not about just playing for one club, sometimes like in my case now, New Edubiase can be a stepping stone.”

Meanwhile, Baffour is fired up to keep banging in the goals for Edubiase, not least in their Match Day 11 tie against former champions Aduana Stars on Sunday.

“By all means (I will score). You know scoring goals is my weapon,” he told ALL SPORTS.
