Elton Acolatse scores for Ajax

Dutch-born Ghanaian youth striker Elton Acolatse scored the opening goal for Jong Ajax when the enterprising youngsters defeated Oss 2-1 in the Dutch second-tier league on Friday.

The 20-year-old promising forward ended his goal drought for the season by scoring in the 17th minute at the Frans Heesen Stadion.

In the same game, Ghanaian defender Leeroy Owusu, who is capped by the Netherlands at youth level, was sent off in the 66th minute for a bad challenge on his Oss opponent.

Both Acolatse and Owusu have been growing through the youth ranks at Ajax but are yet to have their opportunities with the first team squad at the Amsterdam giants.
