Edwin Gyimah voted man-of-the-match in Soweto derby

Ghana defender Edwin Gyimah has been voted the player of the match following his stupendous performance for Orlando Pirates in the Soweto derby against Kaiser Chiefs in the South Africa PSL.

Gyimah, 25, displayed a supersonic performance to guide his side to secure a point in the derby which they nearly won but for the splendid performance of the the Kaiser Chiefs goalie.

The Black Stars defender was applauded by all at the stadium when he swept away a dangerous ball which could have won the day for the visitors.

His second half performance which was more energetic than the first half saw him pulling the breaks on the Kaiser Chiefs defenders making him an outstanding performer in the game.

Gyimah recently had a bust-up with his head coach but has been more powerful after the matter was amicably addressed.
