Edwin Gyimah eyes improved second season with Pirates

Ghana and Orlando Pirates defender Edwin Gyimah says he is looking to lift his game in his second year with the South African giants.

Gyimah joined the SEA ROBBERS last season and had an impressive finish to his first season though the Soweto based club failed to win a trophy.

The Ghanaian is one of the few players to emerge from a very turbulent season with his image intact.

He says he is not letting his first season performance get to him and he was focused on improving.

“I know very well that Pirates is a very competitive team and I have to really improve in every game,” Gyimah said.

“We are determined to build on the strong finish to league and get the club back to winning trophies under the new manager.”

Pirates finished 7th last season in the ABSA Premier League with head coach Eric Tinkler paying the ultimate price for the disappointing season.
