Edmund Owusu Ansah screamer sends club top in Vietnamese league

Ghanaian Edmund Owusu Ansah’s injury time screamer on Thursday helped his Vietnam side Song Lam Nghe An beat NB Sai Gon 1-0 to move to the summit of the V-League table.

The former Heart of Lions midfielder has been impressive since he joined the Vietnamese top flight side last season.

He is thrilled with his performance and reckons he will make the most out of his time in the obscure Asian league.

“It was a very important match for us and I’m glad of how it ended. It’s always special when goals are scored at the depth of time and I’m happy for the fans who were here in their numbers,” Ansah told GHANAsoccernet.com

“I’m enjoying my time here and we’re taking one match after the other and hopefully we’ll do well and win the league.”

Ansah captained Ghana’s home-based national team to win silver in the maiden edition of the Championship of African Nation (CHAN) tournament in 2009.
