Eastern Regional House of Chiefs congratulates Black Stars

Accra, Feb 4, GNA- The Chiefs and people of Eastern Regional House of Chiefs have congratulate the Black Stars for their sterling performance at the just-ended 27th Africa Cup of Nations competition in Angola. Daasebre Professor Oti Boateng, President of the House in a press release copied to GNA Sports in Accra said "By your extraordinary feat in battling great odds to achieve the penultimate award in your first continental final in 18 years, you the youngsters have further projected the global image of our dear country, Ghana".

The release said we have witnessed the transforming power of a team from a low to a high pedestal with the united aid of patriotism and commitment. Prof. Boateng said the team's performance has clearly shown that with resilience of character, determination and assiduity, a united team can overcome huge obstacles.

"When you set off for the Angola campaign, very few Ghanaians gave you any chance because of injuries to the better known Stars among you. But you have proved that the nation can always rise to the occasion in such difficult situations". Daasebre Boateng added that "Nananom have observed a unique display of unity among Ghanaians during the period of the tournament and pray that such unity permeates the entire society as a cardinal tool for our forward march towards greater socio-economic development". He commended the team and said 'Ayeeko' to Captain Richard Kingston and his twinkle twinkle little stars. 04 Feb. 10
