Eastern Division Two league kicks off on October 19.

Koforidua, Oct. 10, GNA- This year's Eastern Region Division Two soccer league kicks-off at all the league centres on Sunday, October 19. In all, 30 clubs, grouped into five zones with each zone having six teams, are participating in the league.

At the end of the league season, only the winners of the various zones would be invited to participate in a middle league from where the winner would be promoted to Division One.

This was the outcome of a consultative meeting of the Management Board of the Eastern Region Football Association (ERFA) with representatives of Division Two clubs held at Koforidua on Thursday. At the end of the league, the last two clubs from each of the zones would be relegated to division three.

Initially, 48 clubs were qualified to participate in the league but at the end of payment of affiliation fees on September 26, only 30 clubs were able to pay their affiliation fees.
