Dwarfs wins friendly match against SHALKA 04

Cape Coast, July 14, GNA-Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs beat Fanti Nyankomasi SHALKA 04, a second division side, 2-1 in a friendly match played at the Cape Coast sports stadium on Sunday. Kicking off under the instruction of Cape Coast based class One referee

Mr.Essel Walker. SHALKA 04, matched Dwarfs boot for boot and opened the scoring through a spot kick taken by inside right Isaac Kudotar in the 35th minute.

Infuriated by this lead, Dwarfs threw everything into attack and thrice came close to scoring, but centre forward Walters Mensah wasted the chances.

Mensah, however atoned for his mistakes in the 40th minute when he utilised a neat pass to level up the scores.

Both sides resumed the second half strongly but it was Dwarfs who had the edge in the attack in the dying minute and scored the match winner through a spot kick taken by outside right Nana Kwei in the 85th minute.
