Dwarfs beat Winneba Windy Professional 3-2

Cape Coast, Nov. 6, GNA - Tottering Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs gained a narrow 3-2 victory over Winneba Windy Professionals in their Division One League match at the Robert Mensah stadium, Cape Coast on Sunday.

Even though Windy professionals lost the match gallantly, they outclassed Ebusua Dwarfs for greater part of the game.

It was Ebusua Dwarfs who scored the opener in the fifth minute through a spot kick taken by their midfielder, Solomon Crentsil with Professionals managing to level up the scores also through a spot kick in the 15th minute by their play maker, Bright Lukeman.

After the eqauliser Dwarfs from then took control of the game and went ahead to bang in two more goals through outside right, Kobena Agyeman and outside left Emmanuel Essuman to bring the half time scores to 3-1. On resumption of the second half, Windy Professionals changed the pattern of their game plan and managed to reduce the tally when they scored their second goal in the 57th minute through a free kick expertly taken by Lukeman.

The visitors continued to pile pressure on Dwarfs in an effort to level up the scores but the solid defence of Dwarfs worked overtime to save the situation. Results of other league matches were, Sekondi Wise drew 1 96 1 against Iron Fighters, Metro Stars lost 1 96 3 to SAMARTEX, Venomous Vipers also lost 0 96 3 to Tarkwa Real United. 06 Nov. 06
