Dwarfs beat Vipers 1-0

Cape Coast, April 14, GNA- A classic goal scored by Francis Gyepi in the 75th minute enabled Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs to beat local rivals, Venomous Vipers, 1-0 in their Division One League match played at Robert Mensah stadium on Sunday.

Dwarfs, smarting in their traditional yellow and green jerseys before their chairman, Nana Brew Butler, former GFA chairman, could not afford to loose the match but win at all cost.

From kick off, Vipers took control of the match and pinned Dwarfs to their own half for the greater part of the first half, but their forwards failed to translate their efforts into goals.

Vipers came close to scoring in the 10th and 15th minutes but their strikers messed up the chances.

Dwarfs later warmed themselves into the game and matched their opponents boot for boot until the 75th minute when midfielder, Francis Gyepi, scored the match winner with a volley.
