Dwarfs beat Iron Fighters 1-0

Mpohor (W/R) Aug. 26, GNA- A classic goal scored by outside right, Nana Kwei, in the 35th minute enable Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs to clinch a narrow 1-0 victory over Mpohor Iron Fighters in their Division One League match played at the week end.

From kick off, Iron Fighters matched their opponents squarely and twice came close to scoring but their strikers squandered the chances. Dwarfs came into the picture in the 30th minute put their opponents under severe pressure leading to a classic goal scored by Nana Kwei. Kwei made no mistake when he was set up by his striking partner, Walters Mensah as he slammed curling shot into the net for the only goal of the match.

The home team tried hard to equalise in the last quarter hour but Dwarfs remained resolute in defence to ward off all threats till the final whistle.
