Dwarfs are ready for the new season – Coach Sarpong

Coach of newly promoted Premiership side, Joseph E. Sarpong said his side is ready for the kick-off of the new season in Ghana and are determined to make a huge impact in next season’s competition.

He said they have prepared very well for the campaign on their return to the Ghanaian top-flight and will not make the mistakes of two season’s ago which saw them relegated to the first division at the end of that campaign.

“We have learnt our lessons from our last appearance in the premiership and will not repeat the mistakes that got us relegated from the league,” he told sportscrusader.com after their last friendly with Karela FC.

That game ended goalless as they trekked away for this contest, and, it was their last pre-season game before they start the new season at home to debutants Dreams FC at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape Coast on Sunday.

Coach Sarpong said they have prepared very well for the upcoming season and hope to turn their home venue into a fortress for visiting teams.

“Cape Coast will be a no go area for visiting teams next season,” he added, stating that they hope to collect most points at the Robert Mensah Stadium.

The veteran coach is targeting survival in the top-flight league on their return to the competition and has urged fans of the club to support them in this adventure as his charges are determined to put smiles on their faces at the end of the season.
