Dvision 2: Bless FC rout Super Stars

Cape Coast, Feb.9, GNA - Cape Coast Bless FC, played a spectacular game to massacre Efutu Koforidua Super Stars 5-0 in their second division league match played at the Cape Coast sports stadium on Sunday. Bless FC, playing one of their best games opened the scoring through a spot kick taken by inside right, Emmanuel Ackah in the second minute. They continued to dictate the pace until the 30th minute when their midfielder, Ebenezer Anthony, in a solo effort increased the tally to 2-0.

After the goal, Super Stars in their desire to redeem their image mounted series of counter attacks on their opponents but all their efforts to find the equaliser were foiled by the iron- clad defence of Bless.

Super Stars continued with the second half strongly but their efforts to level up matters were thwarted when Bless FC continued with their goal-scoring spree by banging in two quick goals through mid-fielder, Anthony and outside right Francis Gyepi in the 46th and 50th minutes. Despite conceding many goals and inspite of the setback, Super Stars never gave up and matched their opponents squarely until the 87th minute when inside right, Richard Essien against the run of play sealed the doom of the visitors with a long range 30 metre shot.
