Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko coach David Duncan has been shortlisted for the vacant coaching job at AFC Leopard, a Kenyan top flight side.

The Executive Chairman of the Kenyan side, Saul Shyder, confirmed to Class Sports’ Hussein Hassan the club’s interest in the Ghanaian coach.

“We haven’t started any negotiations but his name is topmost on our list. We have already sent out the indication that he is the man we want. There is a lot going on, but Duncan will be our next coach God-willing,” he stated.

Mr Shyder disclosed that the credentials of the 52-year-old were the reason Coach Duncan was top of their list. “If you consider all the people who have applied, including some from Europe, there’s absolutely no doubt Duncan has a phenomenal CV. We know his contract with Kumasi Asante Kotoko is ended and so he is available at the moment,” he said.

David Duncan has coached Ghana’s foremost clubs Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak as well as Accra Great Olympics and Ashgold.
