Russia-based Ghanaian International Baba Armando who plays for league leaders FC Moscow in the Russian league believes the hour has come for him to contribute his quota to the senior national team, the Black Stars in their quest to qualify for the Germany 2006 FIFA World Cup.
"Diego" as affectionately called by his fans is calling on the Head coach of the Stars, Ratomir Dujkovic to kindly spread his call-up net to his end as he sees that he can absolutely justify himself into the team.
Baba Armando is well noted of his , skills and goal scoring prowess which when given a chance will help the Stars in diverse ways. He has so far scored 2 goals in 6 matches out of 7 matches played by his club FC Moscow who are currently lying top of the Russia League with 14 points. FC Moscow have scored a total of six goals ( Baba Armando scoring two of them ) and conceded one in the on-going league. Their next game is against 14th place Terek Gronzi on Sunday May 15th.
The ball is now in the court of Dujkovic as committed Baba "Diego" Armando is ready to help the Black Stars defeat Burkina Faso at the Baba Yara stadium, Kumasi on June 5 in their next World Cup qualifier.
