Dr. Sarpong congratulates Kotoko on Bejaia draw

The Executive Board Chairman of Asante Kotoko, Dr. Kofi Kodua Sarpong has congratulated the team for securing a 0-0 draw in Algiers last night against JSM Bejaia in a CAF Champions League second round first leg match.

He told Kumasi-based Metro FM that even though he would have preferred a score draw, he feels the technical team and the players have done a great job, adding that the team would get outstanding matches out of the way in readiness for the second leg match in two weeks’ time.

“I congratulate the boys, the coach and his technical team on this feat. I would have preferred a score draw but they have done a very good job. We now have to turn our attention to the load of games ahead of us when the team returns on Monday before beating the Algerians come April 7.”

Dr. Sarpong also told Metro FM that the team upon arrival on Monday would move straight to camp to clear outstanding league and FA Cup matches ahead of the crucial second leg.
