Doya to meet the press on Tuesday

(Veronica Commey, GNA Special correspondent in Hanover, Germany)

Hanover, June 13, GNA - Ratomir Dujkovic, Ghana=92s national soccer coach is set to meet the press on Tuesday. The coach will address the media for the first time after succumbing 0-2 to Italy in Black Stars=92 World Cup opener played in Hanover on Monday.

Though it remained unknown what the coach would like to say, GNA Sports has gathered that it would largely centre on the team's defeat and the way forward.

The coach, who made history last October by giving the Ghanaians a Mundial debut, has said little after the team came crashing against the Azzuris.

On Tuesday, much will be expected from the coach as the Ghanaian media will ask the Serbian coach to explain his tactics. Already, the Press briefing has kept the media agitated as to what "excuse" the coach has for the team's inability to glitter when they had the world in front of them.

The coach, before the commencement of the tournament, described the Stars as very strong and one capable of making it to the semis. The media are itching to hear what he has to say after losing the game he reckoned would determine the team's progress. The Stars must at least beat the United States of America (USA) and Czech Republic to advance to the next stage of the competition.
