Donsah: Zdenek Zeman is my mentor

Ghanaian midfielder, Godfred Donsah has revealed that he is learning a lot from his Cagliari coach Zdenek Zeman, who returned to the club last week after the sacking of Gianfranco Zola.

The former Czech international was the man who brought Donsah to Cagliari from Hellas Verona and gave him his debut, before his departure from the Serie A outfit last season.

The 18-year-old midfielder, who was on the bench for his side’s weekend 1-1 draw against Empoli, describes Zeman as a coach for the youngsters.

“Zeman is teaching me a lot. He’s a coach for young players. If you follow his instructions you’ll become a champion,” Donsah told SkySports Italia.

“With the return of Zeman, something has changed. With Zola, we played well, even though we claimed just one point. Football is a strange thing. Today you're up, the next day you are down. Zema is a coach who gives important opportunities to young players,” he said.

Donsah has played 18 Serie A games this season, scoring twice. He has caught the eyes of Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham and Liverpool, according to reports. He is currently valued at €8 million.
