Former Asante Kotoko trainer Godwin Ablordey says there should be no rush to restart the 2019/20 football season amid coronavirus pandemic.

He cautioned the FA against taking a decision without consulting the Health Ministry and experts.

All football activities in the country has been suspended since March 15 following the directives given by the President of the Republic.

Meanwhile, the Ghana football association is still engaging with all the major stakeholders to decide the way forward and is expected to announce a decision soon.

“We need to take advice from experts on what to do. We shouldn’t rust to return to the pitch because the disease is real” Ablodey told Bryt FM.

“The truth is that we cannot compare ourselves to that of the Europeans. They have put things in place as they plan to continue the season. So if the Health Ministry sees it as prudent to start ours so be it. The Ghana Football Association must get in touch with the ministry before they decides on the season”
