Don’t blame me for Hasaacas relegation - Basigi

Coach Yusif Bassigi Coach Yusif Bassigi

Head coach of Sekondi Hasaacas, Yussif Basigi, says he cannot be blamed for Hasmal’s inability to maintain their premiership status this season.

The Western Show Boys recorded 10 wins, 6 draws and 14 loses in 30 games to place 15th with 36 points, joining New Edubiase and Techiman City for the second tier league.

Hasaacas in the previous season placed 7th and their return to division for the second time in six years has been the talking point, but Basigi says he is not the cause.

“Don’t blame me because I had more time with Hasaacas this season. This time I was in Takoradi most times and had lesser national team assignments. So the fact remains, things didn’t go well and the supporters must accept it”, he told Starr Sports.

Officially Elmina Sharks have been promoted from the second tier league from Zone 2, so Hasmal and Edubiase will replace the Nduom boys.
