Don Bortey sounds alarm bells

‘Dada Diouf’ Bernard Don Bortey, the prolific Hearts of Oak attacker, has sent warning signals to Liberty Professionals, Great Olympics and Asante Kotoko not to dream of the 2003 National Premiership.

“Hearts will not compromise on that. It is non-negotiable,” he told the nation’s GTV in an interview monitored by Ghana Review International Sports. The 2002 joint-goalking said a number of fans have praised him for an impressive showing last year.

“They ain’t seen nothing yet! 2003 will be more terrific,” Bortey promised GTV.

He assured all Hearts and his numerous fans of his commitment to the club for 2003 and said he had temporarily shelved any plans to play outside Ghana this season. “I want to join my colleagues (Phobians) in Africa. I hope to play so well I will attract the attention of a big agent somewhere and sign a more acceptable contract for 2004. for now all my attention is on Hearts,” he assured all.
