Ghana striker Dominic Oduro scored for the second time in succession as Montreal Impact posted a 3-0 win over New York Red Bulls who featured Gideon Baah and Lloyd Sam.
Oduro, who is deputizing for the injured Didier Drogba, opened the scoring in 58 minutes from a counter attack.
He was replaced with ten minutes left on the clock.
Ignacio Piatti doubled the lead after 71 minutes.
Anthony Jackson-Hamel added a third for the Impact in the dying moments, after a beautiful chipped through ball from Harry Shipp.
Left-back Baah played the entire duration for Red Bulls and Sam was replaced just after the hour mark.
