Division One: Voradep defeats Volta Warriors

Ho Voradep defeated Volta Warriors 2-1 in their second week division one league match played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday.

The former premier league campaigners drew the first blood in the 20th minute when Stephen Attipoe connected a cross from his colleague for the first goal, but their jubilation was short lived when Voradep defender Abubakari Fatawu brought down Edwin Sapper in the 22st minute for a penalty.

Seidu Yakubu converted the penalty to put his side on level terms in the 22nd minute.

Voradep responded positively with a series of attacks on their opponents and these yielded results in the 35th minute when Bessah Emmanuel's cross was beautifully connected by Stephen Attipoe for the second goal to end the first half.

Both sides approached the second half with much determination in a bid to score but none of them was able to find the net till the end of the game.
