Derek Boateng makes cameo in Eibar defeat at Barcelona

Ghana midfielder Derek Boateng played the last quarter in Eibar’s 3-0 defeat at Barcelona on Saturday in the Spanish La Liga.

The 30-year-old was making his second league appearance for the newly promoted side.

Boateng replaced Ander Capa when his side were down by two goals after Xavi and Messi had scored.

Neymar added the third on 72 minutes.

Boateng signed for Eibar this transfer window as a free agent just days after cancelling his contract with another Spanish top-flight side Rayo Vallecano.
