Derek Boateng flourishes in Eibar big win over Almeria

Ghana international midfielder Derek Boateng was in superb shape for Eibar as he helped them to record resounding 5-2 win over Almeria in the Spanish La Liga on Monday night.

The ex-Fulham midfielder, 31, lasted the entire duration of the game, proving hugely influential in the middle as he engineered most of Eibar’s moves from midfield.

As the La Liga weeks roll on, Boateng is warming himself into the Eibar team and has staked a claim for a regular play in central midfield, starting all of their last three games.

While Derek was in fine shape in the game, Atletico Madrid’s Ghanaian international midfielder Thomas Partey who is on loan at Almeria played the entire match for Almeria.

Both Ghanaian players were booked in the game – first, Partey in the 53rd minute for elbowing while Boateng picked his card for tripping an Almeria player in the 70th minute.
