Decider for winner of E/R Division Two Middle League comes off on Sunday

Koforidua, Sept. 5, GNA - All is set for a show down on Sunday at the Koforidua Sports Stadium when Akosombo Sparks Football Club takes on Amanase Tete-Atimpong Football Club to decide the winner of the Eastern Region Second Division Soccer Middle League.

Sparks FC lead the Top Four Second Division Middle League Table with six points with four goals while Amanase Tete-Atimpong lie at the second position with six points with three goals after two matches. Sparks need at least a draw to take the League title while Tete-Atimpong need a convincing win to be able to exchange positions with Sparks at the top of the table.

Kukurantumi Sporting Hikari's match against Koforidua Youth will come off at 0700 on the same day and would also provide another interesting encounter as the winner would decide the third and forth positions of the four- team tournament. Sporting Hikari's is placed third on the table with no point from two matches played with Koforidua Youth lie at the bottom of the table also with no point.

In earlier matches played during the week, Tete-Atimpong beat Koforidua Youth 2-0 on the first day of the tournament while Sparks beat Sporting Hikari's 2-0.

On Friday, Tete-Atimpong beat Sporting Hikari's 1-0 while Sparks spanked Koforidua Youth 3-0.

The four Clubs were tops of their various groups during the Regional Second Division Sub-Middle League. 05 Sept. 09
