Ghanaian attacker David Accam scored his fourth goal of the season for Chicago Fire as they progressed to the next round of the US Open Cup after defeating Indy Eleven.

Accam cancelled out Justin Braun’s goal for the visitors to take the game to penalty shoot outs.

Misses from Indy Eleven defender Nemanja Vukovic and midfielder Daniel Keller saw Fire advance to the final stage of the US Open Cup.

The Ghanaian international also converted the winning kick for his side.

The 24-year-old prior to the game against Indy Eleven had scored against New York City, Orlando City and Portland Timbers.
