Dauda tips struggling Ashgold for league title

Ashanti Gold goalkeeper Fatau Dauda believes his outfit could still clinch the Ghana Premier League title, despite a disappointing campaign.

The reigning champions have won just four out of 20 matches so far, but have noticeably drawn 12 games as they sit 10th on the league log.

"We're left with 30 points with 10 game matches to go," Dauda told Angel FM.

"If we're able to amass all the 30 points in addition to our accumulated 24 points, it can be possible that we can still win the league title, defending it for
the second time.

"Even if we're unable to win the league this season, at least finishing in the top four shouldn't elude us.

"The point difference seems big for now, but relatively, it's not above us catching up with the top clubs on the log.

"We shall still keep pushing for the title or at least finish in the top four, and we're sure of achieving this target."
