Cycling race at Wa

A special cycling race will take place on Saturday at Wa in the Upper West region.

The race which is open to men between the ages of 18 and 30 is being jointly organised by the National Sports Council and the regional directorate of the National Commission on Civic Education (NCCE). It forms part of activities marking the second national constitutional week.

According to the regional director of the NCCE, Mr Ben Banye, the race would be followed by a tug-of-war between the Prisons officer’s wives Association and their Police counterparts.

He said special attractive prizes would be at stake for those who excel in the competition. Mr Banye urged the residents and motorists in Wa to co-operate with the organisers to make the competition a memorable one.
